Hello, beauties, hope you all are doing great there, today I am going to share my review on ‘Proactiv Deep Cleansing Brush.' It was gifted to me from a workmate of mine, and I am euphoric to have my hands on this fantastic product. It’s my first experience with a cleansing brush before that I only relied on face wash and scrubbing masks for my weekly skincare routine.
Although I have already purchased the pretty famous Braun silk epil 7 that comes with a cleansing brush but its performance did not really impress me a great deal it may be a good add-on, but it cannot replace a typical cleansing brush. Like every review I am going to describe you all the details about this product then I would move onto my review.

I have already discussed the importance of maintaining a good skincare routine in my previous post, it does not just give you a smooth and shiny skin, but it can easily protect you from skin breakouts. If you are struggling with acnes issues, then you should totally focus on your skincare routine. There are various scrubbing masks, face cleansing gels and face wash available in the market but it all goes down to ‘how much you do it correctly’ and believe me a cleansing device can really help you a great deal.

A Little Intro to the Product

Proactiv has been working in the dermatology industry for more than 12 years, and it was founded in the year 1995. At first Proactiv Deep Cleansing Brush was introduced to prevent the acne breakouts by providing a complete system that helps cleansing the skin pores and reduce the formation of bacteria or excess oil. Later this product got immense popularity amongst the beauty enthusiasts because of its excellent exfoliating performance.




Proactiv claims that this cleansing brush has specially engineered soft bristle for a smooth and safe exfoliating experience. It has a vibration intensity ranging approximately to 4,000 micro orbits. It can work flawlessly in water, so you can use it to while having the shower. You can use it daily for a gentle exfoliation without harming your skin (I am totally against this claim).

Instructions

First, wash your face with a good face wash I personally prefer Ponds’ and rinse it off with lukewarm water allowing your pores to expand a little bit. Then apply a thin layer of facial foam on your face (I love POND'S Clear Balance Oil Control Skin Mattifying Facial Foam) and use the Proactiv Deep Cleansing Brush in circular motions on your skin avoiding sensitive areas for a minute or two; make sure to keep light pressure while exfoliating your skin. Wash it off with lukewarm water and apply a good moisturizer on your skin.

Do not exfoliate your skin daily, if you are looking for a super smooth skin with a classy glow do it twice or thrice in a week. People tend to believe that the more they exfoliate their skin, the better they can control their acne breakouts. In reality, it would not control your breakouts but damage the skin resulting in redness and dark coloration. So, my advice is pretty simple do not exceed the exfoliation session over 2 minutes and do not do it more than thrice a week.  

My Review on Proactiv Deep Cleansing Brush

This beauty comes in sleekly designed packaging in white and sea green color featuring a big image of the product on its right with benefits and special features printed on its backside. The box includes two AA batteries, two brush head attachments, and a manual with complete instructions and specifications of the product. 



You can control the speed with a single ON/OFF switch, turn it ON once for a low-speed rotation and again for a HIGH-speed rotation. The cleansing bristles are made of silicon and are really soft and smooth.

I have been using this product for almost 3 weeks, and I have seen some real changes on my skin, it’s really smooth and I have not had a single pimple on my face although I do not have any acne problem. After using this cleansing brush, there is a certain glow on my face, and it has improved my overall makeover look. 



The exfoliating experience of this brush is really pleasing, and it helps a great deal in cleaning excessive oil and dirt from the pores. I usually pat on some cleansing foam first on my skin then go for the exfoliation and washing off the face with lukewarm water. The best way to do it is to apply it in upward circular motions with a very light pressure on your skin, do not overdo a particular area for long time.

• The bristles of the cleansing brush are quite soft.
• It does not damage acne prone skin (if you keep low pressure on your skin)

CONS

• The Proactiv+ 3 Step Acne Treatment System is available free with every Proactiv Deep Cleansing Brush in selected regions only.
• The battery does not last more than a month (I exfoliate twice a week only).

Recommendation

The Proactiv Deep Cleansing Brush is a fabulous choice for skin exfoliation it cleanses and exfoliates your skin superbly and its well under budget for most of the beauty enthusiasts out there. I rate this product 9 out 10 for its superior performance, compact size, and affordable price.
