Homemade Listerine Foot Soaks

Well I am not sticking with the regular recipe that has been published on various websites already. I am going to list different recipes for the foot bath that can be easily tried and tested at home.

1- Listerine Vinegar Foot Soak

This is the traditional recipe for Listerine vinegar foot soak; I have made a few tweaks in it to increase its effects a little bit.

Listerine Vinegar Foot Soak for toenail fungus

Ingredients

  1. Three Tablespoon of Honey
  2. One and a half cup of Listerine
  3. Half cup of vinegar
  4. A jug filled with warm water
  5. A container or bucket wide enough to place your feet

Listerine Vinegar Foot Soak Recipe

  • Pour all the warm water from jug into the container and add three tablespoon of honey and stir it for a few minutes.
  • Now add half cup of vinegar and one and a half cup of Listerine into the water.
  • Mix the solution thoroughly and place the feet in to for at least ten minutes.
  • The warm water will help relax the blood vessels in the feet and the solution will soften the dead thick skin on your feet.

With the addition of honey you can feel the added shine and smoothness on your feet later on. Never do the feet soak with boiling hot water because it may end up damaging the skin. Make sure the water is warm enough to give you a soothing feel and not to cause any irritation or burning. After giving your feet this heavenly treatment you can further scrub or file them gently to remove the dead skin. You can also massage your feet with Vaseline later on to maintain the ultimate softness. Listerine foot bath is also effective for Toenail fungus. You can scrub the affected toenail after giving it foot bath and then dry it off to apply Vaseline.

2- Listerine Epsom Salt Foot Soak

Listerine and Epsom salt foot soak can ease down the tensed blood arteries in the feet. The amount of stress which our feet sustain in daily routine causes foot ache and numerous other problems. The blood flow in arteries lowers down and combined with the lack of moisture ends up cracking the skin on the feet; this cracked skin is also referred as dead skin below the feet.

Listerine Epsom Salt Foot Soak without vinegar

Ingredients

  1. Half cup of Epsom Salt
  2. One and a half cup of Listerine
  3. Few drops of lemon
  4. A jug filled with warm water

You can try the Epsom Salt Foot bath twice in a week; I usually prefer this treatment on weekend.

3- Listerine & Shaving Cream Foot Soak

Listerine and the shaving cream can work in conjunction to heal the dead skin from feet. Listerine is antiseptic so it kills the germs while the shaving cream contains chemicals that reduce the stiffness from skin and also enhances the production of Keratin. Keratin is one of the essential structural proteins that comprise the outer layer of skin and protects it from stress and cellular damage. With Listerine and shaving cream combo you can eliminate the dead cells from the feet and enhance the overall texture and softness of skin.
