Red lips are never out of fashion. You can wear this color any where and any time. Personally its my favorite color as its looks passionate and appealing. With your lips properly done, you don't need to wear a lot of eye makeup, just a nude primer, fine liner (Catty one is perfect to go with)  and a nice coat of mascara is enough. 

Most of the ladies, just grab a dark red color lipstick and apply it on their lips without giving it a proper shape and then criticizes the brand. I totally agree that brand matters a lot, but the way of applying matters the most. So, I am sharing a few nice steps and precautions that must be followed to get a perfect and long lasting shape.

After you are done with your foundation, prepare your lips for the lip color by applying a foundation and powder on it. Your lips will be blank like a canvas, so you can work on them. Give your lips a shape using lip pencil. Lip pencil should be same as your lip color. Draw a nice outline, and use a cotton bud to remove any traces on the skin. After the outline, start filling your lips with the lip color. When you are done, take a matte eye shade (Cream or white) and sweap around your bottom of the lips and your cupids bow. In the end, blend your lip color so that it settles in perfectly. This will give your lips a well defined shape, and pop look.
