It’s been a while since the Kat Von D everlasting liquid lipsticks came out but they just seem to be getting more and more popular each day. Especially with how much liquid lipsticks are being used nowadays, you can’t expect anything else. 

Are The Kat Von D Liquid Lipsticks Worth The Hype?

Liquid lipsticks have been a beauty staple this year, and the Kat Von D liquid lipsticks are of course, one of the popular one on the internet nowadays. So, I decided to try their lipstick range and write my experience with it. I mean, come on, the entire Kat Von D brand is pretty outstanding, to say the least. All her products are high coverage, long lasting and quite comfortable to wear as well. The same goes for the Kat von D liquid lipsticks. Although they may be a little higher in price for some people, I think for most, they are decently priced and in my opinion, a bargain if you look at how brilliant they are.

Honestly, I have no idea how she even comes up with such products, but I am wowed by everything she has put out so far. Of course, there’s a few products here and there that aren’t that great but most of them are. The Kat Von D line has a huge following and that doesn’t come as a surprise to anyone. In general, her colors and shades suit people of all races and foundations come in a huge range too. I bought the Everlasting Love Sick, Double Dare & Noble at a very good bargain from a local online store.Alright, so now on to the Kat Von D liquid lipsticks review.

My Review on Kat Von D Liquid Lipstick

Starting from the best point is that they come in good number of colors, so you’ll find something that’ll suit everyone. From pale nudes, to the darker colors, there’s really everything. Of course, there’s some fun colors too. The liquid lipsticks dry down super matte so make sure to scrub and moisturize your lips before putting them on, unless you want to end up with cracked lipsticks…and the dreaded butthole lip. I hate to say it, but that’s what you’re going to get if you don’t prep your lips right before putting any liquid lipstick on, not just these.

If you haven’t realized it already, this Kat von D liquid lipstick review is going to be a pretty positive one too. I do have some cons about the lipsticks, and some Kat Von D liquid lipstick dupes too, so keep on reading.

First off, like I said before, the color and formula is amazing. And you get a good amount of product in the tubes too! Especially after everything that’s being sad after the Kylie liquid lipsticks, I want to make sure that when I spend a bit of money on any product, I am getting what I pay for and well, not a liquid lipstick with half the tube empty, and half dried or goopy.

I can say with all my heart that every single one of the Kat Von D liquid lipsticks that I’ve tried so far have been great. They have a saturated formula, very pigmented, enough that you won’t have to keep layering it on to get a good look at the color. It’ll instantly make your lips pop. Next, they are pretty forgiving! If you aren’t the best at liquid lipsticks, but would like to try some out, although a little pricey for a beginner, these are definitely worth it. Especially if you think you want to really stick to liquid lipsticks, Kat Von D liquid lipsticks are a must buy. And of course, they’re long lasting too. That goes without say, after all, we’re talking about Kat Von D products.

They last about a good 6 hours, and that’s with all the eating and drinking. But before we move on to Kat Von D liquid lipstick swatches, here’s the con. Like with most liquid lipsticks, it does make your lips dry. It dries super matter so it’s important to moisturize your lips and get all the dead skin off beforehand. If you’re someone who has dry lips no matter what you do, you’ll probably have to pass on these. Now, let's take a look at the Kat Von D liquid lipstick swatches. Although I have tried only three shades from the swatches so I had to rely on official website and some other beauty bloggers for swatches too, to complete the list (credited at the bottom of this article).

Bow N Arrow - Fawn Nude

A beautiful brown beige nude, with a very light texture and perfect as a nude for someone with a deep medium color.

Noble - Petal Pink Nude

A lighter version of the Bow N Arrow, that paler girls can absolutely rock. But it’s just a little too light for me, and makes it look like I have concealer lips on. I don’t like it on me personally, but if you like lighter colors, give it a try. Wear some bronzy eyes with it for the best look!

Love Sick - Mauve Nude

A favorite of mine. A true pink color that’ll suit literally every color. Summer or winter, you can wear this color anytime!

Double Dare - Cocoa Blush

Pink-brown-red? It’s a very rosy color that isn’t too red but just the right amount. If you want to wear red but don’t want something super “in your face”, give Double Dare a try.

Damned - Black Cherry

A super dark purple color that you’ll have to be a tiny bit careful with because it does go on slightly patchy. Other than that, a great lip to wear for a sultry look. 

Dreamer - Neon Turqoise

Alright, this one’s just for one and I’d never ever wear it in real life but if you like it, go ahead! I love the color, it’s so much fun and if you ever did see me wear it, it’d probably be at a Halloween concert on something.

Bauhau5 - Deep Raspberry

Berlin - Warm Rose

Mother - Dusty Mauve Pink

Requiem - Soft Lilac

This light shade works best with natural or nude makeup with a balanced look for casual parties or day time.

Kat Von D Liquid Lipstick Dupes

I would personally go for nyx soft matte lip cream if not this one, but if you are looking for some dupes for these beauty you can go for a few brands below!

Urban Decay “Tame” – A dupe for Lolita II and a few dollars cheaper too.

Lime Crime “Raven” – A good dupe for Witches but I prefer the Kat Von D liquid lipstick still. If you can’t get your hands on it and want a similar color, Raven is it. 

Milani “Adore” – Half the price, and a replacement for Noble.

Nars “Blindfold” – Not much of a dupe since it’s about ten dollars higher in price than Kat Von D’s XO, but if you can’t find Kat Von D around in your town, Blindfold can easily replace XO.

And of course, there’s a whole lot of Kat Von D liquid lipstick dupes out there, but these are just what I have used and worked the best for me!

If you ask me, I think it’s just better to go for the original product than try to find dupes.
