Hello everyone, today I have got a brand new review for you ladies featuring the Maybelline Colossal Kajal. I bought two of these during my wedding season in two different shades: Super black and Turquoise. These beauties struck my eyes when I was buying foundation and setting powder from a local drugstore.

I have been using them for more than five months and totally impressed by its finishing and lasting power. Let’s not jump to the review here first I would want you ladies to know a bit about this product then you can read my experience with this product.

What Maybelline Says About this Eyeliner?

According to Maybelline, this Kajal is specifically produced for women with a busy lifestyle and a good taste of fashion. The Colossal Kajal can be easily applied and removed without any hassles at all. You do not have to worry about doing it again and again to achieve the desired look. A single stroke of this Kajal is enough to create a perfect bold line to give your eyes a stunning touch.  The Colossal Kajal pencil comes with a smooth and gliding tip that eases its application without a smudge. It is a water-resistant and smudge-free product that can easily last up to 12 hours. This product has also gotten Vitamin –E in it to give a comforting feel to the eyes and to prevent them from any irritations.  Here’s a handy list of pointers of what Maybelline claims about this product:

Maybelline Colossal Kajal comes in a beautiful stylish packaging. It is packed in yellow colored carton cover with a black colored border, the eloquently printed name of the product with a transparent front side. The packaging has a yellow-colored slim kajal pencil inside with a cap on it. The product is absolutely travel-friendly and crash-free because of its fantastic and compact build. There is no need to sharpen the pencil because of its retractable mechanism, the tip can be easily swiveled up and down easily so you do not have to face the hassles of sharpening before application.

How to Apply Maybelline Colossal Kajal?

Well applying the Maybelline Colossal Kajal is no rocket science, all you need to do is simply uncap the liner pencil and twist the lower bottom a bit to get the tip out. This Kajal does not come with a fine tip, it is soft and smooth, and the tip is also quite weak, so you may as well put a little pressure on it while drawing your upper lash line and the waterline. The smudge-free creamy texture of this Kajal is most likely going to comfort you while drawing the eye-lines. It spreads nicely due to its thick stroke so you might not need to do it more than a few times to achieve the desired look.

My Review on Maybelline Colossal Kajal

The Colossal Kajal is no doubt an absolute treat to wear; a few strokes can help you achieve the desired look without wasting your time. The sleek and slim design of the pencil allows a nice grip so you can easily apply it without smearing it all the way. This Kajal offers a smooth and creamy texture that makes its application very easy, all you need to do is keep light pressure on it while making the upper lash line and waterline.



This Kajal offers deep colors because of its immensely dark pigmentation, so you do not have to overdo it all. You need to be vigilant during its application because it dries out pretty quickly and can be hectic to fix later on.  Another good thing about this product is that it turns into matte form within a very short time of its application.



I personally prefer matte eye-line because it looks more natural on my face. I have been using this product for more than five months, and I am amazed that it never smudged or bleed on my eyes even on the hottest days. As far as its lasting power is concerned, I would say it last easily for 6 hours without showing any signs of smudging. It might last a bit longer than that but to be honest, I never wore this product for more than six hours so I cannot be entirely sure about it.



The Colossal Kajal does not cause any irritations at all, I have never experienced anything after wearing it for hours in the hot and humid climate here. I would not comment on the five nourishing ingredients and Vitamin-E addition because to me they do not make a lot of sense. One downside to this product is its stubbornness; it does not get cleaned easily with a normal face wash. You might need a makeup remover to clean it from your eyes, or you can also use coconut oil to do the same job. Another downside to this product is its bold tip; if you are into creating thin eye-lines, you might not really like this product. Moreover, the pencil’s nib is pretty weak so I would recommend keeping a light pressure on it during the application, or it might get broken.

Recommendation

Maybelline Colossal Kajal is an affordable and handy product, it lasts long, does not bleed or crease and you do not need to sharpen it. All these pros make it an ideal product for the women with a busy lifestyle. For working ladies this product is an absolute treat to have, the only downside for me is its stubbornness while cleaning. I would rate this product 9 out of 10 because of its affordable price and nice long list of benefits.
