FPW is the most awaited event which aims to determine the fashion trends for the upcoming season. It is the only place where we can see many creative designers under one roof. It provides a platform where new comers can display their work and can learn as well from their formers. This summer fashion week was first organized in Karachi. It was supposed to be a four days event but due to unpredictable conditions prevailing in the city, organizers rescheduled it making it a two days event. Due to lack of time over a dozen designers were presented each day making it a congesting event. This event was supposed to be a creative and of commercial excellence but unfortunately it doesn’t turned out as it was supposed to be. Soniya Battla presented very unique sort of combinations. She focused on modern embroideries coupled with innovative silhouettes. Her work was appreciated a lot and impressed every single person present over there. Sahar Atif designer of Pareesa’s Summer Lawn Collection launched her new work which consists of mainly whites with whimsical and bold prints. Her collection mostly focuses the need of casual dresses and will cater the demands of all sort of customers.   But many knowledgeable designers like PINX, Shela Chatoor, Kuki Concepts, Ayesha Somaya, Rizwanullah, Tayyab Bombal and Umar Sayeed made this event praise worthy. Overall it was good and it is expected to be seen again in Lahore at the end of April.
